VulcanForms appoints Dr. Philip Garton as Chief Financial Officer

MIT-born VulcanForms The company has appointed Philip Garton, its Chief Financial Officer, to lead the financial operations.

Dr. Garton’s experience as a financial executive spans over three decades in different organizations.

This included working as the CFO at Shoals Technologies GroupHe was instrumental in helping the company to achieve what it called the “largest renewable energy-related IPO in history,” raising more than 1.9 billion dollars. He was also the CFO for several private equity-backed businesses, including Springs Window Fashions (JM Swank), Lincoln Industrial Corporation, Purdy Brush, and Lincoln Industrial Corporation.

Dr. Garton also managed finance for major international divisions at Honeywell and Vallourec SA. He is a certified public accountant licensed to practice and has a Doctor of Business Administration degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara. VulcanForms announced the launch of its first two digital production facilities in July 2022, and the company says it has been working to more than quadruple its production throughput at VulcanOne, a facility that is the world’s highest throughput laser metal additive foundry, according to the company.

The additive foundry in Devens, Massachusetts, features a fleet of VulcanForms’ 100-kilowatt class laser printing systems. Newburyport, Massachusetts’ facility is focused on automated precision machine and assembly operations. It expects to triple its production capability and triple throughput within the next 12 month.
