Excessive-performance filament selections for industrial 3D printing

TenneT KRATIR PA11 CF, a Polyamide 11 filament infused with Carbon fiber, boasts a 98% biobased composition. Tailor-made for industrial and engineering purposes, it strongly emphasizes energy and sturdiness, coupled with superior warmth resistance and minimal moisture absorption. Within the context of high-temperature, soluble assist supplies, TenneT PROTEOS HT takes middle stage, says the corporate. Demonstrating thermal stability of as much as 215°C in construct chambers, it caters to ultra-polymers akin to PEI, PI, PPSU, and PEEK.

Security and reliability are key concerns with TenneT PYRA PC/ABS FR, because it complies with flame-retardant and electrical laws. This materials finds its area of interest in purposes the place enhanced thermal efficiency and fireplace security are paramount, particularly in electrical elements and enclosures. Concurrently, Tectonic-3D has undertaken a redesign of its web site and webshop. The revamped platform is strategically crafted to boost the general buyer expertise, providing seamless entry to the corporate’s 3D printing supplies and sources. Past a product showcase, the web site features as a central hub for business information and improvements.

Enhancing capabilities and purposes with supplies

Multi-material 3D printer developer Inkbit launched TEPU 50A elastomer, a thiol-ene polyurethane-based materials with Shore 50A durometer, at this 12 months’s Formnext tradeshow. Catering to advanced elements, it boasts low compression set, UV stability, and chemical compatibility. Positioned as a flexible mid-range hardness elastomer, TEPU 50A stands out for its floor end and elasticity, appropriate for detailed geometries. Engineered to surpass conventional molded silicones and rubbers, it affords a sophisticated resolution for the automotive and industrial sectors, addressing limitations in 3D printed elastomers and showcasing the potential of additive manufacturing.

Netherlands-based 3D printing resin producer Liqcreate added the Liqcreate Flame Retardant HDT materials to its resin choices. This engineering 3D printing resin, holding a UL94 V0 flammability ranking, options high-temperature resistance appropriate for purposes in engineering, mobility, client items, and electronics. Recognized for rigidity and compatibility with varied resin-based 3D printers, it really works with DLP, LCD, and laser-based methods. Notably, it withstands excessive temperatures, making it preferrred for tooling, connector housings, and covers. The resin’s UL94 V0 ranking and distinctive HDT-B worth of 257°C place it for purposes in automotive, plane, trains, and electronics, assembly stringent business requirements.

San Francisco-based manufacturing bureau Fictiv unveiled a set of 14 new supplies tailor-made for demanding industrial additive manufacturing tasks. Among the many numerous vary are high-temperature choices like Ultem 9085, biocompatible options akin to ABS-M30i, and optical SOMOS supplies. These supplies discover software throughout a spectrum of sectors, together with automotive, industrial, client merchandise, and medical fields, facilitating the creation of purposeful assemblies, jigs, fixtures, and large-scale manufacturing. Notable additions, akin to Nylon 11 fire-retardant and soluble tooling materials ST-130, supply superior properties appropriate for intricate and difficult purposes.
