The AP-640 was awarded in the Outstanding Entry-Level CMYK eco-solvent/Latex 54″/64″ printer category. While the LG-640 received the award in Outstanding UV 54’/64″ Printer Category.

Sweetnam stated that the requirements for consideration to receive a BLI Pick Award 2024 are more stringent than they were in previous years. In response to the constantly evolving state of technological innovation we have set even stricter criteria this year for evaluations, and Pick Award eligibility. “The AP-640 & LG-640 were rigorously tested for print quality, productivity, usability and efficiency and achieved excellent results.”
Sweetnam concluded, “The AP-640 Resin print passed our tests with flying colours, demonstrating high performances for color gamuts, color-matching outcomes, image quality and stable wallpaper consistency. We were particularly impressed by its large color gamut, which was the largest of all latex/resin printing devices tested. “The LG-640UV printer was evaluated for two ink configurations – dual-CMYK and CMYKReOrWhWh,” Sweetnam pointed out. Sweetnam said that the dual-CMYK is a printer with a high level of productivity and a wide color gamut. It also produces incredibly accurate colors. The other model, with CMYKReOrWhWh Ink, is designed for maximum flexibility and to deliver high-quality output in the best print mode. Roland DG is expanding its competitive advantage in the UV Market and the LG Series will no doubt be a formidable rival.
