2023 NCAA Tournament schedule
Sunday night is the official start of the NCAA Tournament. The March Madness field, consisting of 68 teams, will be officially announced on the Selection Show at 6 pm. ET on CBS. Soon after the show, a printable bracket will be available with all teams and locations.
The official start of the basketball competition is Tuesday night on TruTV, with the First Four taking place in Dayton (Ohio). The four final tournament seed will attempt to make it into the 64-team primary field, with first round action beginning just days later.
The NCAA Tournament’s first round runs from Thursday, March 16 through Friday, March 17. Games will air on CBS, TBS and TNT. As the field is reduced to 16 teams, the second round will last for Saturday, March 18, and Sunday, March 19.
The Sweet 16 and Elite Eight will be finished the week after, with the Final Four scheduled for Saturday April 1st in Houston. The 2022-23 college basketball year will end with the national championship being held Monday, April 3.
