MS Printing Solutions and JK Group will be participating in ITMA 2023 and will be present in Hall 7, Booth D206 at Fiera Milano Rho in Italy from June 8–14, 2023. The company plans to showcase a wide range of digital products and solutions during the event.

The companies’ R&D team has developed a unique system that changes the approach to pigment printing, enabling the reduction of CO2 emissions and the water consumption of the entire process, thanks to integrated innovative solutions, to halve printing process steps with a chemistry that doesn’t require pre- and post-treatment and to perfectly manage and reproduce colour charts with an increase in colour yield up to 20 per cent, MS Printing Solutions and JK Group said in a joint press release.

MS Printing Solutions & JK Group to unveil revolutionary digital print products at ITMA2023
A unique system optimises the pigment printing process, reducing water and CO2 consumption.
The key components are a reengineered JP7 Digital Scanning Printing Machine, an Ad-hoc Dryer, Digistar Pigment4K ink and more.

The new solution is made up of several innovative components. A completely reengineered JP7 is the first component. It’s a digital scanner printing machine, designed to print pigment. Its aim is to drastically reduce energy and water consumption by using new, integrated and innovative tech.

A second ad hoc dryer was created for this system. The system is capable of polymerizing and drying on the fly. This ensures optimal conditions and maximum control. The manufacturing line is reduced in size, reducing CO2 emissions.

The third component is Digistar Pigment 4K, the JK Group’s newest ink that’s so innovative that it is patent-pending. This ink doesn’t necessitate pre- or post-treatment and is specifically designed for this system. This environment reduces the number of steps in digital printing by half. It also eliminates all water usage and drastically cuts energy consumption.

Fourth, there’s the System Plus Software, the new management software that integrates calibration, printing software, and ink to provide impeccable colour management. It promises an up to 20% increase in colour yield while increasing efficiency.

The New Era of Single Pass has as its main objective to create a new generation of machines that only pass once. The New Era of Single Pass will achieve this through a combination of the size and versatility of a scanner with the speed and immediacy of a single-pass machine. This is considered a revolution in the concept of single pass and was designed with sustainability as a priority due to the smaller space requirements. There’s also an opportunity to preview the new AI system being developed to significantly enhance print quality output.

Take a step into R&D with a real concept machine, a revolution of the historical JP4, equipped with all the innovative solutions set to be introduced in the near future. The new electronic and printheads are followed by a new power supply, a qualitative analysis system of in-line printing, and many other innovations.

The solution includes MS Heritage MiniLario. It was the first scanner equipped with 64 printheads and was viewed as a true revolution at ITMA 2019. It has now become part of the company’s heritage, with over 20 machines installed and operational. The printing carriage position has been improved and revised to provide even greater reliability, and to maximize its high-speed speed. MiniLario is printing Digistar Reactive BiB, which is a JK product. Bag-in-Boxes (BIBs) continue to provide increasing environmental benefits, while still maintaining their usual high-quality inks.

ITMA will continue to reveal new products, services and innovations. The new model of organisation will be based on a focus on continuous improvement. The aim is to achieve a global footprint quickly, improve operational efficiency, and speed up business exchanges. The result is a model that can be scaled up quickly to meet seasonality or peak demand.

A new range of service, such as the Maintenance Programme, has revolutionised both the Service Department and its operational methods. It has reduced costs, increased productivity and ensured optimal performance of machines.

Also, a new range of dryers is being introduced. The dryers are not only designed for the new system of pigments, but they also complement the other machines. The modular design of the dryers allows simultaneous drying and curing, which reduces costs and space requirements.

The MS-specific inks are constantly improving and include waveforms that ensure optimal control of the ink droplets, which leads to excellent printing results.

Visitors can see these innovations and demos at the booth assigned.
