INX Announces Plans For Sign Expo Canada

INX International will showcase four new digital inks that have been proven to be effective in the sign industry at Sign Expo Canada. Jason Lee, INX’s sales and services representative, said that the September 21-22 event, at the International Centre Mississauga near Toronto in Ontario, offers attendees the opportunity to get a clear picture of the premium outdoor inks.

“We are looking forward to seeing our customers at the show and talking with prospects who are looking for a premium digital ink produced here in North America. When you take into consideration the color and chemical compatibility, service capabilities, and the significant cost savings printers are experiencing, it’s hard to find a better value-added solution,” said Lee.

INX, a leader in the digital inkjet industry, formulates high-performance inkjets that improve upon OEM inks in terms of quality and cost efficiency.

“We are the third largest producer of inks in North America, and the only major ink company to manufacture and offer both inks and specialized coatings for commercial, packaging and digital print applications,” he said. “Our Triangle HFB inks for HP Scitex printers are a prime example. The conversions can be done quickly and easily, and the inks have a larger color gamut with truer colors, quicker drying times, and lower costs. We have FASTSIGNS franchise owners saving over 30% on ink costs since switching to HFB.”

HFB uses about 15% less ink per page than an OEM of similar size. HFB’s inks, which were first introduced on the market five year ago, are optimized to cure with UV mercury or LED lamps. The inks can also be used with HP Scitex 500-550, 700-750-900 and 950-950 series printers.

Like HFB inks, the newer Triangle HIP & HSI UV curable eco-friendly inks were formulated for printers to meet G7 & GRACoL standards. The unique advantages of both ink sets go beyond their affordability and performance on high-speed, multi-pass inkjet flatbeds. HIP and HSI both scored high levels of 7 or 8 in the Blue Wool Ratings for lightfastness.

“HSI inks are very flexible and match OEM adhesion on a wide range of digital and rigid display graphic medias,” said Lee. “We have a longtime digital printing customer who is saving up to 40% on their ink costs since switching to HSI. As a result, they are also enjoying excellent printability and the enhanced maintenance benefits.”

Triangle HSI flatbed inks can be used on the Inca Onset X1 printer. They are UV- and water-resistant without lamination or coating and can be used indoors and outdoors. Available in eight colours. Triangle HIP Inks are designed for high-consistency jetting on HP Scitex Industrial Printers. These include the 9000 Series, 10000 Series, 11000 Series, 15000 Series, and 15500. Both are supported by INX’s Worldwide Ink Durability and UV Ink Train warranties.

Lee suggested that show-goers also visit the Triangle GSU booth (519) to see these inks. GSU has been a market staple for over a year. It offers the same benefits in terms of color, curing, chemicals, and warranty as other inks.

“GSU runs on hybrid models of the Vutek GS printer series, and these UV and LED curable inks deliver outstanding performance for many of our customers,” he said.
