India ITME 2022 hosts new product launches; awards companies

India ITME 2022 is a mega technology and engineering exhibition for textiles. It is currently taking place in Greater Noida. There have been a few product launches by textile machinery manufacturers like Yamuna and ColorJet. ITME Society, the organizer of the event, hosted today’s second edition of its awards to recognize the contributions of India’s textile engineering sector.

ColorJet Group, a digital printing company, launched the Earth Series and the Metro NXT high-speed digital textile printer at India ITME 2022. The Metro NXT printer can print shirts, skirts and scarves.

India-based textile machinery manufacturer Yamuna Machine Works has launched three knitting machines—Open Width Knit Compactor, Open Width Knit Singeing Machine, and Alea-Yamuna Multilayer Stenter—at the trade fair. Yamuna Machine Works, which is well-known in India and the USA, Europe, Brazil and Portugal, has launched three knitting machines at the trade fair.

This organiser hosted the ITME Society Awards’ second edition, which set the stage for the largest textile engineering event. The India ITME Society has introduced a category for youth, research and innovation. India ITME Society awarded the Top Performance in Textile Engineering Industry award to Lakshmi Machine Works Limited, Rabatex Industries, for the spinning segment; ColorJet India Ltd. for the printing segment; Texfab Engineers (India), Pvt Ltd. for the finishing segment; and Lakshmi Card Clothing Manufacturing Company Private Limited. S A Pharmachem Pvt Ltd was awarded the Best Initiatives for Pollution Control Technology.

Deepa A Kumar received the Special Award for Women for her segment on Women Entrepreneur; Neha Juhunwala was the director, Sarla Performance Fibers Ltd for Nurturing Women Empowerment. Santoshi Kewat won for the Women Master Weaver segment. Kumari Raita was awarded for the Restoring Traditional Skills section. Rekha Ramakrishnan of SASMIRA was the Research Excellence winner. S P Oswal, chairman, VardhmanGroup of Companies, is the Textile Maestro winner.

India ITME 2022 takes place at the India Exposition Mart in Greater Noida.
