Epson to Expand Its Lineup of Inkjet Printheads with Two New Models for a Wide Range of Industrial Applications

TOKYO, Japan–Seiko Epson Corporation today announced that, from the first half of the 2023 fiscal year beginning April 2023, it will launch sales of two new models of inkjet printheads that support solvent inks. The I3200(8) – S1HD and S800 – S1 compatible with many inks for industrial use. They can be used in conjunction with oil-based and solvent inks.

The I3200(8) – S1HD can hold up to eight colors and delivers resolutions up to 1200 DPI, which allows for the rendering of high-resolution images under a variety of conditions.

The S800S1 only has one chip. The compact design allows for increased productivity in environments with limited space.

These new products will enhance Epson’s PrecisionCore line of printheads and enable it to support a wider variety of industrial and other digital environments. This includes applications like marking/coding and signage.

Solvent compatibility
This printhead can work with solvents of high solubility and meet all requirements for printing displays or photovoltaic cells.

You can print up to eight colors, and you can easily equip printers for high quality output

There are eight possible colors of ink. This is not limited to CMYK. The printhead is able to jett liquids from different types. This allows it to be flexible in industrial printing applications. The printhead also produces a 1200 dpi high definition image quality making it suitable for both single-pass and multi-pass high-speed printing.

S800-S1

Compact design
The S800-S1 can be used with the same inks that the I3200(8) – S1HD. However, the single-chip design allows it to print close to substrates with 3D surfaces and print in places where space is limited.

These two new products will allow inkjet printing technology to be used in new areas, especially in industrial printing applications. Epson will continue to innovate technology in order to help customers grow their businesses and accelerate inkjet innovation.
