The Deputy Commissioner highlighted the many benefits of land passbooks and stated that they are true to land records and can be created online.
She also stated that the Land Pass Book records have the evidentiary worth of the record-of rights and other public records for all purposes before the courts, the financial institutions, and Banks.
The DC described the initiative as a landmark towards improving service delivery and bringing transparency to the Revenue record system. He stated that the land passbook contains entries in Urdu English and Hindi languages, which will help to fill the information gap and facilitate easy access to the revenue records.
The Land Passbook will provide information about Revenue to land owners in an extremely simple format. Additionally, it will act as a valid document to present before financial institutions.
