On a booth themed ‘Strategic growth. Sustainable success’, inkjet printing solutions provider Agfa will highlight its latest innovations at FESPA in Munich (23-26 May).

Onset X3HS with Agfa Inks: Better than ever
The Onset X3 HS has made its debut at a European trade fair after drawing large crowds at Printing United Las Vegas last year. This extremely high-speed page-wide flatbed inkjet printer, running on new Agfa inks, and driven by Agfa’s Asanti workflow software, is capable of 24/7 printing on a wide variety of substrates at speeds of up to 1450 m²/h. Its incredible uptime is due in large part to its automated job setup and robotics that takes only 30 seconds. At FESPA, the printer will be demonstrated with a ¾ automation setup, featuring a lay table and an unloading robot, and will run a variety of stocks, including corrugated boards.
Jeti Tauro H3300UHS LED: corrugated paper with varnish
Agfa’s fastest hybrid inkjet wide format printer is also available at FESPA. The Jeti Tauro UHS LED H3300 UHS is designed to produce reliable, 24-hour print production with outstanding quality. It also features multiple automation options. A varnish printing option has been added to the printer that allows corrugated cardboard display producers to add a layer of satin varnish or high-gloss varnish to their prints. The varnish can either be applied all over (flood varnish), as well as a few spots (spot varnish).
Avinci CX3200: high-quality soft signage prints using next-generation inks
Also on the booth: the 3.2 m Avinci CX3200, Agfa’s dye-sub printer that produces consistently vibrant high-quality prints on a wide range of polyester-based fabrics for indoor or outdoor soft signage, interior decoration, and fashion items. It prints both directly to fabric – which is easy and fast, and ideal for applications such as see-through flags – and to transfer paper, perfect for obtaining super-sharp backlit applications with deep blacks, as well as for handling stretchy fabrics.
The new Avinci 110 printer inks have received the OEKO-TEX® ECO Passport, indicating that they are free of any hazardous components and can be utilized for eco-friendly textile manufacturing.
Oberon RTR3300: Even the thinnest flexible media
Agfa will also be presenting the Oberon RTR3300 UV LED wide format inkjet printer. It is a durable roll-to–roll UV LED wide format inkjet printer with exceptional print quality, high productivity, and low ink consumption. The Oberon is reliable and can handle any heat-sensitive material. It excels at printing white on transparent media for window decor. Dual-roll printing allows for the efficient use of two smaller media rolls.
Streamlining operations to ensure consistency and efficiency
Also on demo will be Agfa’s workflow software Asanti, which seamlessly interlinks the entire print production flow, thus minimizing manual interventions and errors. The Production Dashboard, which is browser-based, monitors production time and media consumption. Additionally, it interfaces with MIS/ERP to optimize quotes, post-calculations, and enables you to access the MIS/ERP system. Version 6.0, powered by the Adobe PDF Print Engine (APPE), offers automation features such as job ganging and packaging-specific tools that improve efficiency. A new feature called SureTone is also included. This guarantees identical print runs even when they are performed several months apart. SureTone’s first focus is on the industrial laminate flooring market.
Industrial inkjet solutions
Agfa’s industrial inkjet specialists will also be at FESPA to discuss how the integration of inkjet printing in industrial production environments can lead to enhanced cost-efficiency and versatility.
Agfa offers high-performance, water-based inks and comprehensive industrial inkjet printer systems. These include the InterioJet water-based press for printing on décor paper for laminate production and the Alussa solution for producing stunning and lasting designs on genuine leather. Exact customer samples will also be on display at the booth.
